  • EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique, which is using the energy meridians to clear blockages that are happening in the body. As Sandra will say, emotions are energy in motion, that get stuck if you don’t allow them to be processed.

  • EFT has been extensively researched as a method for treating anxiety and depression, with clinical studies such as this: proving the reduction in symptoms in as little as three sessions.

  • The basic recipe for table top tapping is the following:

    • Tap sequentially on nine points of the body - side of the hand below the pinky, bridge of the nose between the eyebrows, side of the eyes/on the temples, under the eyes, under the nose, on the chin, on the collarbone, and under the armpit

    • Adding a word or short phrase that focuses on what is aiming to be addressed also helps with this process

  • Nicole learned about tapping through hypnotherapy, and while she hasn’t adopted it as a habit, found some benefit when experiencing it.
